With the September 2026 intake approaching, many UK universities are gradually moving into critical admission and CAS processing stages. International students planning to study in the UK must now act quickly to avoid missing important deadlines.

Universities across the UK are already processing applications, conducting interviews, and requesting additional documentation from applicants. Institutions have also started issuing deadlines for tuition deposits, Pre-CAS interviews, visa credibility checks, and financial document submissions.

One of the biggest mistakes students make is delaying document preparation. Important documents such as:

  • International passport
  • Academic transcripts
  • English proficiency documents
  • Statement of Purpose
  • Financial documents
  • Tuberculosis test results
  • WAEC/NECO verification must be prepared early to avoid unnecessary delays.

Students should also understand that UK universities are increasingly working with strict timelines due to UKVI compliance regulations. Delayed responses, incomplete documentation, or failure to attend Pre-CAS interviews may affect CAS issuance timelines.

For students considering the January 2027 intake, this is also the ideal time to begin preparations. Starting early provides enough time to:

  • Select the right course and university
  • Improve application quality
  • Prepare stronger financial evidence
  • Build a competitive profile
  • Prepare adequately for interviews and visa applications

At SolomonWord International Education, we encourage students to avoid last-minute applications. Early preparation increases admission opportunities, scholarship possibilities, and overall visa success rates.

The UK remains one of the world’s leading study destinations, but successful applications now require careful planning, timely action, and proper professional guidance.
